System Navigation & Homepage Overview

Signing In and the Homepage

Upon signing into the system, users are directed to the Homepage, which acts as a configurable workspace.
Key features include:

  • Pinned Modules (Tiles/Widgets): Users can pin specific modules to customize their display.

  • These modules may:

    • Link to other panels

    • Provide direct access to side menu functions


Top Left Navigation Icons

  • Homepage Icon:Click to return to the homepage from any screen.

  • Rubik’s Cube (Left Side Menu):

    Provides access to a nested menu containing all system options.

    • Use the text box to search and filter menu options quickly.

    • Click directly on a menu item to open a specific function.

     


Top Right Navigation Icons

  •  Language Flag:
    Indicates the system’s current language.

    • Supports multilingual operation (e.g., English, French).

    • Distinguishes between regional formats (e.g., MM/DD/YYYY vs. DD/MM/YYYY).

    • Entire system UI (excluding user-defined elements) adapts to selected language.

  • User Icon:
    Displays information about the signed-in user:

    • Username, email, and profile image option

    • Password change and logout options

    • Displays associated Business Unit, supporting multi-company functionality
      → Enables separation of products, suppliers, etc., across multiple organizations
      → Users can switch between companies (if permitted)

  • Notification Bell:

    The system includes a notification Bell that turns red when new notifications appear in your inbox. This feature is designed to facilitate communication within the system to different teams

    Key aspects of the notification system:
    Discussion Threads: The system is built with an inbuilt discussion thread feature, which serves as a communication tool. These discussion threads can be system-generated or user-defined. 

    Purpose: Discussions allow for back-and-forth communication within the solution about specific functions, such as quotations, purchase orders, styles, materials, or suppliers. All communication related to a particular item is held within its discussion thread forum.

    Access:
        ◦ Notifications can be accessed via the notification Bell located in the top right-hand corner of the screen. This means you can access your notifications from any panel you are navigating through.
  •  Search Panel:
    Powerful search functionality across:

    • Libraries: Styles, trims, fabrics, colours, body blocks, etc.

    • Filters: Brand, category, client, collection

    • Customizable results: User-definable columns; secure visibility control

    • Product preview: Click images to open full product views or popups

  • Pin Icon:
    Pin a specific page/function (e.g., Line Plans) to your homepage
    → Enables quick, one-click access without navigating menus


Configurable Workspace Elements

Homepage Customization

Each user can have a unique customized homepage by Widgets frequently required.

  • Widgets/Shortcut Tiles:

    Right-click to add a new Widget, Choose the options to edit fonts, colour, text and size. Upload images for personalize

  • Charts:

    • Add visualizations from dashboards

    • Configure by season, brand, etc.

    • Types: Pie, bar, waterfall, stacked, line, etc.

    • Multiple chart instances with different parameters are supported

    • Example use cases: Margin trends, Line Plan status, CO₂ emissions

  • My Products Widget:

    • Displays recent, favorite, or filtered products

    • Helps in quick product access

  • My Activities Widget (Critical Path):

    • Shows task lists with dependencies, owners, and due dates

    • Segments include:

      • Overdue

      • Due today

      • Due this week

      • Upcoming tasks

    • Interact directly: Mark as complete, flag for later, view details

  • Properties: High-level descriptors (e.g., Brand, Season)

  • Attributes: Specific values under each property
    (e.g., “Ted Baker” for Brand, “Autumn Winter 2018” for Season)

  • Define the structure and process flow for key functions:

3. Roles and Business Groups

  • Roles:

    • Control where users can go (e.g., access to Products, Calendar)

  • Business Groups:

    • Control what users can do (e.g., edit/delete tech packs)

    • Manage visibility and editing rights for fields like retail price
